The red-hot ante-post favourite is Long Run, priced at around 2.50 (that’s 6/4 in fractional odds). It’s been heavily tipped my many experts and is sure to go off as pre-race favourite, however it wouldn’t be the first time that the fave has been beaten in the Gold Cup, so what of the alternatives?
Well, Kauto Star is also fancied by some, and certainly has the class to beat the field, but has his opportunity gone now with age? Burton Port and Grands Crus are next in the betting and could threaten to cause an upset.
